PERC: Rebranding for Connection and Impact

Our focus: Branding, Mission/Vision/Values Development, Website Design and Development, Communication Strategy

The Pittsburgh Education Recruitment Consortium (PERC) is a partnership of around 20 colleges and universities across western Pennsylvania, Ohio, and northern West Virginia. Every year, PERC’s job fair connects hundreds of teacher candidates with schools looking for top talent in education and related fields.

The Challenge

PERC came to us with a clear need: their website and branding felt outdated, and they’d never formally defined their mission, vision, or values. With enrollment numbers down since the pandemic, they needed a fresh, unified identity to re-engage candidates, and a communication plan to help them promote the job fair all year long.

The Solution

We started with research and outreach — surveying stakeholders and one-on-one interviews with select stakeholders — to really get to the heart of what PERC stands for. From there, we developed clear mission, vision, and values statements that reflect PERC’s commitment to education and community.

We then rolled out a new visual identity, including:

  • A modern logo and brand guide;

  • Updated stationery and event banners;

  • A refreshed website designed to be clear, welcoming, and easy to navigate; and

  • A communication plan involving email and social media correspondence.

Every touchpoint was built to help PERC stand out to both candidates and employers, making the job fair experience feel more connected and professional.

Impact

With a cohesive new brand and clear messaging, PERC is better positioned to re-engage its audience, support member schools, and help more candidates land jobs in education. Their new look and messaging reflect the value they bring to the region’s education community, and they’re set up for continued success as they move forward.
